How 'bout that 'Daytona 520' last night! Pretty exciting stuff...if you could stand the waiting in between.
Congratulations Jason!

I grew up around cars and car parts, thanks to my parents. Thank you, Dad, for showing me and teaching me so much! My Mom and Dad are both 'car guys'.
I always loved GM cars and their styling, especially the F-bodies.
As I grew up, my parents had:
1971 Chevrolet Chevelle
1976 Pontiac Trans AM
1982 Pontiac Trans AM
1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2dr
1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
1978 Pontiac Trans AM
1994 Pontiac Firebird
1992 Cadillac Eldorado
1994 Cadillac Eldorado
I've had a bunch of cars already:
1989 Pontiac Trans AM
1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS
1990 Chrysler Lebaron 2DR
1989 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon (no wood)
1981 Mercedes-Benz 240D
1982 GMC 3/4TON Suburban
1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2dr 4.0L HO A/T 2" lift and slightly modded
I really like all makes and models though, but some more than others.
My Dad also got me into riding motorcycles at age 5 with my first bike, a Honda Z50. Through the years I had a Honda XR80, Kawasaki KDX 200, Suzuki DR350, and a Kawasaki KLR650.
My wife had a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire coupe that we got into lightly modding, together. She currently has a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT.
I just sold my 96 Cherokee daily driver and i'm currently driving a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am GSE 2DR beater.
I have been more of a Jeep guy, as time goes on. They can be so simple or as complex as you want them to be. and there is such a big parts and accessories base for them. Jeeps are kinda like a 4x4 customizable street rod with that old school styling.
I'm working on this project.

Dana 35R for now (8.8" Limited Slip Ford eventually)
4.10 ratio
BIG fender flares (I love those things)

I didn't pick the Jeep as much as it picked me. I was getting more interested in Cj's and Yj's, and this one already had some mods that I liked, plus it was right next door at my father in law's, always lookin at me. Jeeps are such capable little vehicles. They're easy to work on. (You can bolt on or unbolt EVERYTHING. Even the doors, windshield and rollcage; in minutes. And, they're perfect vehicles to modify on a budget.
I also like diesel engines and the story behind them. The fact that they're truely a flexible fuel engine is amazing. More people should have them in the States. I really enjoyed the episode on Trucks with the Tire Fryer / Biodiesel back in the day, and the more recent SVO episode on Gearz.
