I was born and raised here in Duncan, S.C. ( Go Byrnes Rebels). I have always been involved in motor sports of some kind. My two sons and I have dirt bike raced, go-cart raced, and drag raced. And Dragracing was always a part of our life and we strived to be winners. I had a 71 Chevy truck that ran 5.62 @ 124mph in the 1/8 and was all stock suspension. Trailing arms and all and was a wheel stander for the first 60ft. Now my boys are grown and in the Military.( Say a prayer for them) so im in the shop alone now. Still love my toys though. Im working on a 65 Belair wagon now. Hopefully run some low 5's with her. But I just finished a "1986 ALL Electric S-10". FIRST OF ALL I'M NOT A TREE HUGGER! I love the rumble of a racing engine. I'm just tired of giving my money to FATCAT oil tycoons.The five buck a gallon gas made me do this and I am now thankfull. I started on it Nov. 2008. It took me about eight months to build it and now I have put about 4000 miles on it driving it back and fourth to work. This was a real piece of @#%$ sitting behind a friends house when I got it. But 400 hours later its turned out pretty good. It runs Highway speeds(65) and has a range of fifty miles. I work at Michelin Tire in Greenville and they allow me to plug in at work so that gets me about eighty miles a day of distance. Just plugs into a 115 volt wall socket. Charges to full in about six hours. Its been fun to build and drive. My Buddies said it was too quiet so I installed a real train horn on it..152dB...LOUD NOW!!
